  • These cases offer excellent protection.

Hard Shell Cases

Gig Bags

  • Some players prefer a gig bag because it is less bulky and can be carried like a regular case or on the back or shoulder.
  • These bags are excellent quality with reinforced handles and two shoulder straps.
  • There is a zippered music/accessory compartment to carry your books cables, picks, extra strings, etc.
  • Although you need to be more careful not to bump into hard surfaces, this bag has lots of padding which is excellent protection against sudden temperature and humidity changes and the occasional bump

Soft Shell Cases

  • Soft shell cases are something referred to as “fiberboard” or “chipboard” cases. These cases are firm but not as firm as wood cases.
  • They are easy to carry and provide good protection for your guitar especially when occasionally knocked against door frames when carried in and out of your home or car
  • These cases provide some protection against temperature and humidity changes (from a warm house to the cold outdoors, for example) which is far more than no case at all. For added protection it is even more helpful if you wrap your guitar in a large towel or heavy cloth when you put it in your case.
  • The outer construction is water repellent and the edging is stitched with vinyl trim which helps protect against wear.
  • These soft shell cases are the industry standard and made in the U.S.A.
